08/12/2020flora

Glowing skin – the very first desire of every woman at every age. It is a combination of many factors, from nutrition, care regimen, even daily habit, and life activities. To make it come true, there are 5 basic ways we can follow.

Understand your skin and choose the right product

Our skin is 70% water, 25% protein and 2% lipid. Consists of 3 layers: epidermis, dermis and dermis. Healthy skin is the key to have a glowing skin.

To maintain that health, firstly distinguish and understand what your skin type is, what your skin needs the most to choose the right skin care products. In fact, no matter how good the product is, but it does not meet the needs of the skin you need, it would not be a good investment. Each product has different ingredients so it would function well when used for suitable skin type.

Our skin is divided into 5 categories: normal skin, oily skin, dry skin, combination skin and sensitive skin.

Normal skin

This can be considered as the most ideal skin among 5 types. That is because normal skin is the type of skin with a balanced ratio of water and oil, neither too dry nor too oily. As a result, the skin’s pores are usually small, the skin is smooth, not too sensitive, so cosmetics can be easily chosen. People with normal skin should choose natural extracts that are safe for the skin.

Oily skin

Oily skin has sebaceous glands that work with high intensity, leading to greasy skin, large pores, and acne-prone skin. Those with oily skin should choose products containing AHAs, BHAs to help unclog the skin, and limit oil production.

Dry skin

In contrast to oily skin, dry skin has an imbalance in moisture and oil. Due to the lack of lipids, it produces less oil than other skin types, gradually making the skin flaky, wrinkled and easily aging. Dry skin needs careful care with moisturizing products, containing ingredients such as HA, niacinamide.

Combination skin

Combination skin has 2 types of natural oil blends (with a large oil-pouring area, usually in the T-zone: forehead, nose, chin) and dry combination skin (large, dry skin area in 2 cheek side).

  • Natural oily combination skin has features similar to oily skin such as: large pores, acne prone, clogged pores.
  • Dry combination skin has the same characteristics as dry skin: easily dehydrated, easily aging.

Combination skin needs products that supply water in the hot season and moisturize in the cold.

Sensitive skin

As named, we can feel that type of skin is easily affected. Sensitive skin, when the weather turns to winter, it is easy to peel off. Sensitive skin also often reveals small blood vessels under the skin, easily irritated, red. Those belong to this skin type, it is necessary to be careful when choosing cosmetics, carefully consider the ingredients before buying and using.

State briefly, understanding what skin needs before choosing to use the product is the first secret to having glowing skin.
